Best For: A busy business or professional looking for a standout web presence, built by design experts for maximum functionality and aesthetics.

What is Custom WordPress Design?

HostPoppy Custom WordPress Design services will take your website idea and turn it into reality.  Our professional web developers will build your site in WordPress.  This application offers maximum functionality and design choice.  Moreover, content updates and maintenance after deployment will be a breeze, whether you choose to do it yourself or opt for a HostPoppy Website Maintenance Plan.  This option takes the stress of a new website away and lets the pros run with your ideas.  The only limitation is your imagination!

What does the website design process look like?

Your first step will be to meet with a Website Design Consultant.  During this meeting, we will document your design requirements; from color choices, page layout, to core functionality.  Based on your requirements, the Design Consultant will create a Scope of Work and Cost Estimate.  If you approve the estimate, work will begin as soon as payment is submitted!

Once development has been completed, you’ll receive access to a demo site.  This demo will let you experience your website from the user’s perspective.  Your Website Design Consultant will take any feedback and update requests, which will be implemented into the demo site.  Once you’re happy with the final design, we’ll move to implementing your site into production.

How many revisions can I request?

You will have up to ten (10) business days to review your demo website and request revisions.  During this time, you will be able to submit up to three (3) rounds of revision requests.  You may submit final approval at any time during the Revision Period and we will then move to production implementation.

How long does it take to design a website?

Typically website design can take up to 20 business days to complete.  This will include your initial conversation with a Website Design Consultant through final implementation.   This timeframe may be shorter depending on the complexity of the design requirements and speed to review and approve your demo site.

How much does it cost to have a website built?

Because each site is different, the final cost can depend on your requirements and what you’re trying to accomplish.  Each site will require the WordPress Design Base service, which will include up to 4 site pages.  Addon services may be included in your estimate based on what you request, including additional site pages, stock photos or illustrations purchased by HostPoppy, or special integrations such as eCommerce or plugin functionality.   After your initial conversation with a Website Design Consultant you will receive an itemized Estimate and Scope of Work before any website design work begins.

How is the final site handed off?

If you have decided to enroll in a HostPoppy Website Maintenance plan, no handoff will be required!  We’ll take your final approved design and implement it into production.  Moreover, we’ll handle your update and maintenance requests so long as you continue your plan.  See Website Maintenance Plans for more information.

If you decide to maintain the website yourself, we will schedule a Handoff and Training call, where one of our website developers will deliver the final files and review how to update and maintain your site.  If you have additional questions, our developer is happy to meet for up to 2 full hours.
