How much does a Website Transfer cost?
We offer one complimentary migration with every hosting plan! This includes straightforward transfers, such as moving a site from a cPanel host with full backup capabilities or a simple WordPress site from DirectAdmin.
While most sites qualify for a free transfer, highly customized websites or those hosted on proprietary server architectures may not be eligible. If your transfer is more complex, we can assist through our Hourly Website Development program.

Can all sites be transferred?
Most sites can be migrated, but some web hosts and those built on proprietary applications may not support transfers. Unsure if your current web host or site allows migration? Simply submit a Website Migration ticket, and one of our Website Transfer Specialists will check its eligibility for you.
What if I have multiple websites or am currently with more than one host?
HostPoppy offers complimentary Website Transfer service for one eligible site per hosting plan you purchase. If you have additional websites, we’d be happy to assist with their transfer through our Hourly Website Development program.

Simple migrations typically take up to two business days from the submission of your request. For complex transfers involving customized sites or those from hosts using proprietary software, the timeline may vary. If you choose to use our Hourly Website Development program for a complex transfer, your Website Transfer Specialist will provide a time estimate based on your specific situation.
Will my site go down during the transfer?
No, your site will remain accessible to the public while the transfer is in progress. However, we recommend that you avoid making any updates to your site until you receive confirmation that the transfer is complete. This helps ensure that no work is lost during the migration to HostPoppy's servers.
In rare cases—such as if your site accepts user posts or includes a forum—we may suggest placing your site into maintenance mode. If this is necessary, your Website Transfer Specialist will provide guidance on the steps you should take.
